We focus on how Amex Corporate can empower these companies to adapt, innovate, and scale -- and the key is creating intuitive ways for them to control spend even before it happens, and see how their dollars are being put to work.”

One Smart Platform for Managing Business Spending

What works at one stage of growth may not work at the next. Amex Corporate unites Corporate Cashback Cards, expense management capabilities, and program management tools within a connected ecosystem, designed to support a range of business spending activities. As business needs evolve, organizations can adopt capabilities for their changing priorities while maintaining a consistent approach to managing company spending.

      Bringing Spend Management Together

Managing business spending can extend beyond Card transactions alone. Organizations may also be managing employee expenses, reporting processes, and program administration activities.

Amex Corporate features a digital ecosystem that merges Corporate Cashback Card and Expense Management experiences within a connected environment. With the Expense Management platform, Program Administrators gain insights into tracking and approving spend across the business. Meanwhile, employees can use the Amex Expense™ app‡ to submit receipts and review their expenses while away from their desks.

This unified experience includes navigation across services, role-based workflows, and on-demand access to tutorials that support account setup and configuration for both the Expense Management platform and the Amex Expense app. Together with solutions such as Virtual Cards, these capabilities help organizations manage spending activities across the business.

Control and Oversight Across Company Spending

Visibility is often one of the most valuable assets a growing business can have. Understanding where money is being spent and maintaining compliance with company policies can help leaders better manage company spending activity.

With stronger reporting and oversight capabilities, organizations can better understand spending patterns, support policy adherence, and respond more proactively to changing business needs. Amex Corporate gives businesses the power of centralized control with department-level flexibility, allowing customization of expense forms, submission rules, and approval workflows to reflect company structure.

Live Dedicated Support, Enhanced by Technology

The challenge for many growing organizations is not simply adding more solutions, but finding ways to connect capabilities, workflows, and support in a way that helps teams manage spending activity with greater clarity. As businesses evaluate changing spending needs, implement new solutions, coordinate across stakeholders, or manage evolving operational requirements, human guidance can remain an important part of the experience.

Amex Corporate provides more than tools alone. Businesses can access support, guidance, and expertise, along with digital capabilities, that help support program management, expense workflows, and day-to-day administration. Guidance Through Complexity

As organizations expand, challenges do not always fit neatly into a product category.

A company may be evaluating how to support expansion, improve visibility into spending activity, implement stronger controls, or navigate increasingly complex financial processes. In situations like these, businesses can benefit from guidance that extends beyond day-to-day administration.

Amex Corporate Account Executives*** work with organizations to evaluate needs, identify opportunities, and coordinate across teams to support business objectives.

No two businesses operate the same way.

Some organizations prioritize travel-heavy employee populations. Others focus on employee expenses or operational purchasing. Many require a combination of all of these elements. Amex Corporate supports this wide scope of business needs and helps support organizations as their priorities evolve over time.

Organizations can align Corporate Cashback Cards and program features to support different employee groups and business priorities while maintaining a connected experience.

      The Value of Financial Backing

The value of a corporate card program extends beyond individual features and capabilities.

Businesses also benefit from the backing of American Express, including established service, broad card acceptance, fraud protection capabilities, and a long-standing commitment to supporting companies of varying sizes and industries.

From account monitoring and fraud alerts to customer service and program support, these capabilities help organizations manage company spend with greater visibility and oversight.

For many businesses, financial backing also means access to an organization with experience supporting companies through changing business conditions and evolving operational needs.

In Practice: Building Capacity for Growth

      Business Challenge
A complex ownership structure created challenges during an underwriting review as an insurance consulting company sought additional credit capacity to support expansion.

      Amex Approach
Amex’s team of experts worked closely with the client to help identify a responsible path to secure a credit line increase and support expansion goals. Along the way, the team assessed financial needs, aligned stakeholders across sales and underwriting teams, and provided guidance throughout a complex financial review process.

      Outcome

A credit line increase from $400,000 to $600,000, providing additional working capital flexibility during a key growth period.

This may not be a typical experience of every business. Experiences may vary.
